Hola Bili started the way many businesses do with frustration. After hiring someone for a few small jobs, getting a single invoice for the work became an ordeal. When tax season came around, that turned into a chaotic scramble of messages, receipts, and guesswork.
It shouldn’t have been that hard. After more than a decade building systems for startups and large companies, the Hola Bili team has seen technology solve almost every problem except the everyday ones people face when trying to earn a living. If something as simple as invoicing could feel so heavy, how many others were carrying the same weight?
Then came the layoffs, and the late nights filled with questions no one wants to ask. How do we pay the bills? How do we protect our family? What comes next? Out of that uncertainty came clarity: there needed to be tools built for people like us. The ones starting over, building something from scratch, or just trying to make work sustainable.
